Travelling to Slovenia

Slovenia is a member of the Schengen Area. For visitor visa requirements please visit https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/slovenia-visa/ and Slovenian embassies or consular posts in your country. An invitation letter (for your visa purchase) will be provided by the organizers after you have registered for the EGMO 2023.

Please note that contestants under the age of 18 must submit a parental consent form signed by both parents in order to enter and leave the country.

About Slovenia

The Slovenian currency is the Euro (EUR). Both credit and debit cards (e. g. Visa, Mastercard) are widely accepted.

The climate in the coastal region of Slovenia is Mediterranean, with cool winters and hot summers. The temperature on the Piran peninsula in April typically varies from 10°C to 20°C. Despite abundant sunshine, rain can also be expected in the spring.

Travelling to EGMO 2023

The official point of arrival and departure point are Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU) and the Ljubljana railway station. Transport from the point of arrival to the contest location and back to the departure point will be arranged by the local organizing team.

The official arrival date is Thursday, April 13 and the departure date is Wednesday, April 19.
