Travelling to Slovenia

Travelling to Slovenia from neighbouring countries is convenient thanks to short driving distances, well-connected highways, and frequent train routes. Visitors from other European countries can also fly into Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport.
Please note that contestants under the age of 18 must submit a parental consent form signed by both parents in order to enter and leave the country.

Important information about Slovenia

Currency: The official currency is the Euro (EUR). Credit and debit cards (e. g. Visa, Mastercard) are widely accepted.
Weather conditions: In August, Slovenia (also Celje) typically experiences warm to hot summer weather, with average daily temperatures from about 25–30°C (77–86°F) and occasional peaks above 32°C (90°F). The month is generally sunny, though afternoon thunderstorms may occur.

Travelling to MEMO 2026

The official arrival and departure points are Celje railway station and Student dormitories in Celje, where the contestants and team members will stay. A van transfer from the railway station to the dormitories will be arranged for arriving participants on official arrival and departure date.
