Participation
The Middle European Mathematical Olympiad (MEMO) is an international mathematics competition. Participation in the MEMO is by invitation only, with the following countries being invited to participate: Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland. Each invited country is to send a team consisting of up to six contestants, a leader, and a deputy leader.
Country’s contestants are normally citizens or residents of that country, and should be selected through that country’s national Mathematical Olympiad or an equivalent selection programme. If you are interested in the selection process of a certain country, please check the national Mathematical Olympiad site, or contact the IMO team leader, on the following list: https://www.imo-official.org/countries.aspx.
The Contestants must not participate in the IMO of the same year, they must still attend primary or secondary education in the school year following the MEMO, and they must have been born less than 19 years before 1 July in the year of participation at the MEMO.
